We at Holy Cross Church are called by God to serve those in need, guided by the fundamental commandment to “love thy neighbor as thyself.” We walk hand-in-hand with our ministry partners, all of whom are doing incredible, impactful work in our city of Sanford.
Our congregation gives to our community in numerous ways, including our annual “Be Rich” campaign. We demonstrate God’s love by donating cash, food, and needed supplies to our Sanford non-profit partners . As the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 6:18 of the Bible, “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”
Below are the organizations that we are proud to call our partners in faith.
Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian humanitarian organization that provides relief and assistance to people affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and disease worldwide. Founded by Franklin Graham in 1970, it operates on the belief of serving those in need as an expression of God’s love. The organization supports a range of projects, from disaster relief and medical care to long-term community development. Every year, Holy Cross fills shoeboxes with gifts for children in need as part of Operation Christmas Child.
