Discover a New Way to Worship & Connect on Sundays at Holy Cross

Do you want to deepen your faith and form closer relationships at Holy Cross? Serving in a Sunday ministry can do that and more. Whether you are greeting parishioners, reading bible passages, assisting at the altar, or helping behind the scenes, taking part in the service allows you to experience worship in a more personal and meaningful way.

Most roles require no prior experience. You only need a willing heart and a desire to deepen your understanding of Episcopal worship. Prayerfully consider joining one or multiple roles, described below.

Altar Guild

Who we are
We are a dedicated team responsible for preparing the church sanctuary for worship, ensuring that the altar and sacred vessels are properly set.

We clean and arrange the altar, prepare the Eucharistic elements used for Communion, care for the garments worn by the clergy, and maintain the furnishings surrounding the altar. Our ministry is a quiet but essential aspect of worship.

How frequently we serve
Members serve on a rotating basis, typically once a month. We carry out our prepation duties in advance, often 1-2 days before, and then clean up directly after each service.

How you can join us
Anyone interested in this behind-the-scenes service is welcome. Training is provided.
